About
My Background
As a little girl I aspired to become a photographer but did not want to burden my parents by asking them to purchase expensive equipment and develop film for me of what may not have turned out to be anything of substance. I went off to college to study computer engineering and found that I was not where I needed to be. One day while visiting my family I did them a favor by taking a photo with a 2 megapixel camera. I developed it and realized photography was my passion. I always say God made me do it. I burned my bridges, moved back home and started my photography business with a friend. For the last eighteen years I have captured moments for strangers that become family. Years and many tears later I have a studio in McAllen, Texas. I love making people feel confident. I love showing them that they truly are beautiful both inside and out.
Photography as Communication
I am surrounded both by natural beauty and interesting people. I use my camera to document the world and then print images with a focus on the magic I find in daily life. My pictures tell my stories.
